Sarah Cronin, PhD, LP

(she/they)

My entire career has been driven by a passion of working with people. It is an honor to get to know others, walk alongside them in their journey, and offer my skills and experience to support them in meeting their goals.

I obtained a PhD in Educational Psychology with the University of Minnesota’s Counseling and Student Personnel Psychology program. I have researched topics in college student mental health, cultural responsiveness for student outcomes, and resiliency. See below for example publications, presentations, and invited talks.

I care significantly about being an engaged community member both personally and professionally. I currently am chair of the American Psychological Association’s Prevention Section within the Counseling Psychology division and an editorial board member for the Journal of Prevention and Health Promotion. I am also a board member of the Boys & Girls Club of the Bemidji Area. These roles allow me to use my knowledge and skills in new ways and also provide me opportunities to learn and grow!
